Death, Deceit & Destiny Aboard the Orient Express (2001) starring Richard Grieco

Desperation aboard the Orient Express

I have come up with a new rule for watching movies; if a movie stars barely any recognizable names and features a title which is far too long you would be better off avoiding it. I've come to the conclusion after watching "Death, Deceit & Destiny Aboard the Orient Express" a movie which prior to watching the only names I recognized were Richard Grieco and Christoph Waltz. There is no skirting around the issue as this movie is a bit of junk, terrorists aboard a train piece of junk which manages to botch up the recognizable formula which I didn't think was possible.

As guests board the Orient Express there is already a level of tension between some from business rivals to jealous Russian boyfriends. But that is nothing to when they learn that they are being taken hostage by terrorists who have planted bombs all the way along the train.

There have been a few movies which feature terrorists aboard a train and some of those I have thought were terrible but after watching "Death, Deceit & Destiny Aboard the Orient Express" I am having to rethink what I thought of those movies as this is a whole new level of bad. The script, the dialogue, the direction, the lack of atmosphere and acting are all bad and they are just the main ones as there are a whole lot more. In fact "Death, Deceit & Destiny Aboard the Orient Express" feels like a movie which a bunch of z-movie stars decided to make because they were tired of just being faces in crowds. It simply fails from start to finish and rather than being entertainingly bad is simply bad.

What this all boils down to is that I can't even come up with a reason why you should watch "Death, Deceit & Destiny Aboard the Orient Express" as it has absolutely nothing going for it. Even those who might be fans of one of the cast should seriously question whether they really need to sacrifice 90 minutes of their time on this.
