Sling it Away
Having caught the corrupt Rattler Fenton (Brad Allen), bounty hunter Butch Norton (Jack Elliott) finds getting paid for his bounty not as easy as he hoped whilst having to list to Rattler's incessant prattling on. As they journey across the west the encounter a curious and unlikely bunch of outcasts including Akemi (Narisa Suzuki) whilst having to deal with the Mondego gang.
I have watched some rubbish in my time but "The Gunslingers" which is also known as "Ecstasy of Gold" is up there with some of the worst movies I have endured, and I mean endured because watching "The Gunslingers" is arduous from the word go. For that reason I am not going to waste much time or effort on reviewing it because quite frankly the type of person who enjoys westerns expects a minimal level and this doesn't reach it. We have strange and uninteresting characters, amateur camera work, poor acting, no character development, unconvincing sets and even less convincing special effects. That is it and I just hope those involved didn't spend a lot of money on this.
What this all boils down to is that whether you call it "The Gunslingers" or the more fancy "Ecstasy of Gold" it remains a bad movie in all areas. About as complimentary I can get is that at least they tried.
