Toy Story That Time Forgot (2014)

Toy-adiator

Christmas has been and gone and now Bonnie is heading around to see Mason for a play date and of course she is taking her favourite toys with her. But Mason got a new video game system for Christmas and has been hooked on playing that rather than with his other toys he got for Christmas. So Woody, Buzz, Trixie and so on find themselves in an unusual place with a whole host of new toys who believe there purpose is to do battle in a gladiatorial world where toys are destroyed. Now Trixie is going to have to show them that there is more to being a toy than destruction.

This is the second Toy Story short I have watched having already watched "Toy Story of Terror" which pleasantly surprised me. Unfortunately "Toy Story That Time Forgot" didn't quite have the same effect on me and whilst a well thought out little slice of Toy Story it just felt like it was missing something. Maybe it comes down to the focus of "Toy Story That Time Forgot" being Trixie or maybe it is because of the whole gladiator style storyline but something doesn't feel quite right.

Despite not quite entertaining me in the way I had hoped there is still no denying that "Toy Story That Time Forgot" is a well put together animation with all the detail and humour you would expect from a full "Toy Story" movie with plenty of the trademark creativity when it comes to the world of toys.

What this all boils down to is that whilst I am sure "Toy Story That Time Forgot" will entertain those who love the comic creativity of the "Toy Story" movies for me this one didn't quite have the same effect as the previous movies due to the storyline.
