Rosie O'Donnell in Another Stakeout (1993)

Another Mistake Out

Having messed up once again, buddies Chris (Richard Dreyfuss) and Bill (Emilio Estevez) are put back on stake out duty to keep an eye on a house where a missing witness may already be or maybe on the way. But this time Chris and Bill are not alone as they will have Gina Garrett (Rosie O'Donnell) from the DA's office and her dog with them as they have to masquerade as a family with Bill having to pretend to be Chris' son from a first marriage. Of course things don't go to plan as the buddies can't resist messing around and playing pranks.

Pretty much everything I said about "Stakeout" I can repeat when it comes to the sequel, a movie which I still believe was never needed. As such I am going to keep this short and simple because again we have a movie which doesn't really gel. On one hand we have a slim line storyline of a missing wtiness and on the other we have the comedy which again features Chris and Bill acting like man childs. But on top of that we have Rosie O'Donnell tossed in to the mix to provide some wise cracks and on top of that we have a big dog to add more comedy. But it is all kind of a lot of set piece gags which whilst fun are not enough to sustain the whole movie.

What this all boils down to is that I am sure if you were a fan of "Stakeout" you will also love "Another Stakeout" as it is more of the same but will an extra layer in the shape of Rosie O'Donnell. But for those who need a more storyline driven movie rather than a lot of wise cracks and set pieces then this will come up short.
