For a while Tory Bell (Francia Raisa) joined the family business working as a bounty hunter but decided she wanted some normality so became a school teacher in the city and met the handsome James (Will Greenberg). But when she gets a mysterious call she reluctantly heads home to help her family catch the one bounty that has plagued the family for years. That is when things become extremely complicated when James shows up and she tries to hide what her family do from him whilst also dealing with resurfacing feelings for a Mikey (Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin) a former boyfriend.
The last time I watched any wrestling I think it was something called TNA and there was familiar faces on it such as Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe and Hulk Hogan. But it has been a while since I watched any and so have no idea who Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin is and to be frank neither he nor any of the actors were the reason why I decided to watch "Christmas Bounty". Nope the simple reason for me watching is because it has Christmas in the title and I am a sucker for any Christmas movies. And yes being a sucker for Christmas movies means I have watched some stinkers and "Christmas Bounty" joins that list.
I am not going to waste my breath going in to a lot of detail because there is plenty which didn't work for me. For starters there is the whole hiding the truth from the boyfriend thing which isn't borderline stupid, it is stupid. Then there is the humour which has that bouncy daftness which is heightened by a cheesy soundtrack and this already low level of entertainment sinks even lower. Toss in there the old classic of a former boyfriend and it almost feels like someone tossed several cliches in a bag and picked a few out at random. The end result is something which in its brashness might entertain a young teenager who watches wrestling but won't do much for those who take a risk on this having seen the word Christmas in the title.
What this all boils down to is that "Christmas Bounty" didn't do it for me and found it a cheesy experience from beginning to end but I get a feeling this is intended more for those who watch because they are young wrestling fans and spot that Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin is in it.
