Home (2015)

Oh Oh

When the alien race known as Boov decide to conquer Earth they relocate every human, well every human except Tip who somehow has been missed. Amongst the Boov is Oh, who unlikely the other aliens is extremely friendly and bubbly which sadly means his attempts to be helpful often backfire. It is Oh who discovers Tip and whist initially she fears him they end up working together to try and find Tip's mother. Trouble is that Oh inadvertently sent a message across the entire galaxy and now the enemies of the Boov, the Gorg, are on the way to Earth.

This will be a short review because "Home" is the sort of movie which in truth doesn't need to be reviewed. Here is a simple animation with a storyline about friendship and not judging others which has some familiar actors and celebrities voicing characters, plenty of character based comedy and lots of colour. But this is the sort of colourful and comical animation which offers little in the form of clever entertainment for any grown up who watches it and instead focuses on delivering fun for younger audiences. And trying to put myself in to my mindset when I was a lot younger I would say the colourful characters, the noise, imagination and fun would have entertained me.

What this all boils down to is that where some animations offer some thing for the whole family "Home" is simply entertainment for children with plenty of noise, colour and humour.
