Leigh Francis in Keith Lemon: The Film (2012)

Sour Lemon

Wannabe entrepreneur Keith Lemon (Leigh Francis) takes his invention to a convention in London where he soon discovers his invention is terrible. But he manages to take another man's invention and turns into a must have gadget and in doing so turns himself into an over night success and a rich bugger. It allows him to live his fantasy life which involves Kelly Brook and her bangers. But in doing so success goes to his head and he forgets his Northern roots, his pregnant girlfriend and best friend as well as the bloke he owes money to on his previous bad idea.

I will admit when it comes to Leigh Francis and his creation Keith Lemon I can only take him in small doses, I don't think I have managed to sit through an entire episode of his "Celebrity Juice" because Lemon and the Lemon sense of perverse humour soon grates. You may ask why in the hell would I choose to watch "Keith Lemon: The Film" which I swear was once called "Keith Lemon: The Movie" and the simple truth is that I heard that it was terrible and really wanted to see how terrible it was. Well in my bad movie list it rivals for the top spot.

Now I knew what to expect before watching "Keith Lemon: The Film", I knew it would be 90 minutes of Leigh Francis's alter ego and that meant 90 minutes of humour which if you are not prepared for jokes about expanding organs in a mouth and sea gulling on Kelly Brook's bangers accompanied by frequent swearing you are going to be offended. In truth even if you are prepared for the Leigh Francis/ Keith Lemon sense of humour your going to be pushed to your limit as there is nothing else to the movie other than a steady flow of unintelligent innuendo and as many crude gags you can get away with.

Oh there is something else, various celebrities who have appeared on "Celebrity Juice" crop up so we have the likes of Jedward, Emma Bunton, David Hasselhoff and Verne Troyer. But that is it and you begin to wonder how this excuse for a movie ever got made although I reckon the money men might be laughing as all those who enjoy "Celebrity Juice" probably wasted their money on seeing this.

What this all boils down to is that "Keith Lemon: The Film" is seriously terrible and the only thing I can imagine is that the intention was to make the worst movie ever as I can't see any other reason why this movie was made.
