Sexy Serial Zombie Killer
Barbara (Macarena Gómez) is a hard working student who enjoys reading fashion magazine, going shopping and pretty much anything else that a student at an exclusive Spanish university might be into. But Barbara is in to something else as she is also a sexy serial killer who has a penchant for offing those who happen to be wearing a dress she likes or upset her in anyway. But when the detective who is investigating the killings on the campus ends up dead and his body ends up in the hands of scientists Tomas (Cesar Camino) and Alex (Alejo Sauras) who have created a machine which extracts the last thing a victim saw before they died life takes a twist. Unfortunately their machine brings the detective back to life and he demands that they bring all the other victims back from the dead for questioning, except the dead want revenge.
Okay so I just gave a bit more away in than synopsis to "Sexy Killer" than I would normally want to do but I had to. I had to because selling this Spanish movie as a fashionista who likes to kill people doesn't do it justice, in fact it doesn't even do justice to this side of the movie which goes from Barbie girl to home advertising killing demonstration through humiliation in the bedroom and I could go on because it feels like writer Paco Cabezas was overflowing with amusing ideas and found away to put everyone of these ideas in to the movie and make them all work.
As such whilst you should be shocked by the way "Sexy Killer" evolves you end up not caring as every single aspect of this works to make you laugh, from scientists trying to see what a victim saw just before they died to the fact that we not only have a lot of the movie told in flashback we also end up with zombies in a serial killer movie. In fact the wilder and dafter "Sexy Killer" becomes the more entertaining it becomes as well and it even manages to make the song "Barbie Girl" entertaining which is a miracle in itself.
What this all boils down to is that "Sexy Killer" is what the title says as it is sexy and killer but killer because it is so funny with almost one spoof style scene after another but done more like it was "Scream" than "Scary Movie".
