Cowboys vs Dinosaurs (2015) (aka: Jurassic Hunters)

Jurassic Punter

With a demanding boss, Marcus Lando (Vernon Wells - Beneath Loch Ness), to deal with Ms Sinclair (Sara Malakul Lane - 100 Degrees Below Zero) orders her men to set off charges in the mine. But not only does it cause a catastrophic accident but it leads to dinosaurs emerging from the mine's dark recesses and causing death and destruction across the local area. Back in town is Val Walker (Rib Hillis - Dinocroc vs. Supergator) who doesn't find himself welcome by many, especially his former girlfriend who is horrified to see him. But with the dinosaurs rampaging throughout the area the local cowboys are going to have to tool up, horse up and ranch up to take down these prehistoric monsters.

Before you start to watch "Cowboys vs Dinosaurs", which is also known as "Jurassic Hunters", I would like you to make a note of the time. Then I want you to make a note of the time when you realise that the movie has been playing and you haven't been paying a blind bit of notice to it. You see "Cowboys vs Dinosaurs" is that sort of movie, the sort of movie where it struggles right from the word go to draw the audience in let alone keep it interested. This is the sort of movie which resorts to using four young women in underwear going swimming only to end up attacked by a dinosaur as a way of getting your attention.

"Cowboys vs Dinosaurs" is also the sort of movie which gives top billing to Eric Roberts yet he doesn't appear till at least 30 minutes into the movie and doesn't appear a great deal after that either. Yet I am debating to say that Eric Roberts' performance as Val's drunken father is the best thing in the movie as it surely isn't the story, the dialogue or the special effects.

What this all boils down to is that "Cowboys vs Dinosaurs" is a weak movie which resorts to using a splash and dash performance from Eric Roberts to try and lure you in. The simple thing to say, is don't waste your time on this.
